Neil is a dynamic leader of teaching and learning, with 14 years of teaching and leadership experience both in the UK and internationally. Now based in Wales, his passion for education is centred around the philosophy that every child can achieve excellence and this has been at the core of his teaching pedagogy during his career.
As a teacher of Design and Technology, Neil was a Lead Practitioner for a Local Education Authority before becoming a dedicated Head of Department. As a head of department Neil actively encouraged students to develop an interest in the STEM/STEAM subjects and assisted schools to design spaces that allow flexible and collaborative working.
In his role as Vice Principal of Teaching and Learning at a leading 3-18 British International School, Neil led the implementation and embedding of High Performance Learning and is now an Associate Director with the company. During his time in the role he gained vast experience in assessment, examinations and professional development. Neil was instrumental in the design and development of the new Doha College Al Wajba Campus. He was advisor to the architects, Board of Governors and the college community on various aspects of the new design.
Neil is a Senior Associate with the-learning-crowd - his flexible thinking and diverse background enables him to provide an invaluable service to multiple school settings. He is currently supporting the-learning-crowd with school design and curriculum projects in Scotland, Wales and Romania.
